JAZZ / Hip Hop DANCE:
Dance is mostly center floor and across the floor combinations. Music varies but is mostly upbeat, including Christian R&B artists and rap artists.
For jazz steps, including kicks, turns, and leaps, students are taught to “pull up” and dance from their center with and on pointed toes.
The Hip Hop portion of the class focuses on the “earthy”, low and flexed body positions.
Rib and hip isolations are included in the class, but modesty is maintained and gyrations are not allowed.
This class is more for large motor skill and memory development.
