DANCE FAMILIES!- lots of info!
1) Dancers are invited to dress up this week for class. It can be a Halloween costume, but it can be an old dance costume or a part of a costume. Your dancer must be able to still dance, tumble, or twirl in whatever they wear and it still must have modest coverage. We won’t be giving out any candy, but if you’d like to send a treat for your dancer to hand out, you are more than welcome to. Please no nuts as we have a dancer with an airborne peanut allergy.
2) Little Caesars Pizza kits will be delivered on Tuesday October 28th. That is THIS WEEK. I need help with sorting the kits by family. If 4-5 people show up, it takes us about an hour and we really really appreciate it. No one will be allowed to take anything home until everything is sorted. I will post on the studio band and HDC app when it’s all ready, but you should be good to come pick up stuff by 1:00. Please be sure to have everything picked up by 9pm. We do not have room to store anything or keep it cold.
2a) Thank you so much for everyone that participated or donated. We made about $2000! The funds are being used to purchase ballet costumes for the studio to lend to dancers for the Christmas program. The remainder is being held for costume angel money and recital props that may be needed. Here are our top sellers and the size shirt that we estimate they would want for their prize. If it is different, please message me asap as I’ll be ordering them Monday morning. Congratulations to the Martin family who won a free dance costume. The video of the wheel spin is on the band app.

3) Christmas Program tickets go on sale this Saturday November 1st. at 9am! Because we are only having 1 show, we need to limit the number of tickets each family can purchase until everyone has had a chance to purchase. We anticipate selling every seat in the auditorium. Please do not wait to purchase tickets. On another note, we will need volunteers to help us in the dressing rooms, backstage, and to line up dancers. If you are willing to volunteer, don’t buy yourself a ticket and message the studio so we can plan on you helping. Any volunteer needs to be able to help for the entire show (about 1.5 hours), but will also be allowed to watch their dancer perform from the side of the stage. We appreciate you. 3a) To purchase tickets, here is the link: Christmas Program ticketing Link On Friday October 31 around 6pm, every family that is participating in the Christmas program, will receive an email from DRT that references the studio name. It will have a priority code in it that will allow your family to purchase up to 4 tickets per dancer. If you click on the link before then, you will only be able to purchase merchandise, red rose bouquet with gold glitter, keepsake printed program, or a HDC Christmas Program crewneck sweatshirt. Please note that I had to enter email addresses in my hand and manually remember who has more than 1 child in the program. I may have made a mistake, if you think so, kindly email or text me and I will handle it as quickly as I can that morning.
4) Recital costume payments are due at the end of next week November 6th. If you need more time to pay, please just communicate with me. It will take me a couple weeks to get all the orders together and actually placed.
5) Competition Team opportunity! I’ve made a few changes with the competition team information. #1 when the entry fee due dates are. Half due Dec 5, other half due Jan 8th. If you are interested, but have financial difficulties with everything due so close together, please speak to me so we could possibly work something out.

6) Dance at Disney December 10-13 (Thurs-sun) 2026 opportunity! Ages 7-22. We had a quick (1 hour) meeting about this last week. Here is the link to watch or listen to it. (Remember that it was not very formal- lol) Disney meeting link
6a) So much is included, but here is a quick edit of what we said: Register now via the link and pay $200 per person deposit. The next required payment is June of 2026, but you can and should make payments on your own before then. The final payment is due august of 2026. You can make changes yourself via that link.
The performer and a chaperone is required to purchase a complete package in order to participate. Included in package, Stay at the resort, costume, shoes, tights, park hopper passes, bus to rehearsal and the parade/performances for dancers and Ms Heather, dance choreography and lesson tuition. What extra will you need? To get there (fly with the group or drive on your own) and food (no dining plan available for our group). You can also add more days before or after our scheduled days. 7) Euchre Fundraiser Tournament for Disney and Competition Teams! Everyone is invited to participate in this first tournament at the studio. Friday November 7th. 6:00-8:00pm. RSVP here so we know you are coming. Our goal is to have 7 tables or more! $25 per person to join. Prizes. RSVP to the Euchre tournament here.
8) Dress Rehearsal for the Christmas Program is Thursday November 20th 6:00-8:30ish. We will go in order of the show. We will work as quickly as we can to get everyone out the door at a decent hour. Here is the line up and order of the program. Please be sure that your dancer’s name is spelled correctly and that they should or should not be in the program.

8a) No classes for Wednesday Nov 26 or Thursday Nov 27 classes the week of Thanksgiving. That means that the poor Thursday classes will only have class this week, October 30, Nov 6 and 13, then dress rehearsal at the auditorium the 20th, no class the 26 or 27th then perform at the show on the 30th. No problem though, they will be ready!
